The difference between realism and photo realism is that realism is what we perceive in the real world and we base a lot of the things that we see off of them, but photo realism can be anything combining anything to make an alternet dimension
The three rules are to make it realistic, leave no seams and combine anything that would make a clear indication onto what is combined. Make it look like it COULD happen but really it could not, and remove the boundaires between real and not real. Erik took several months out of his year to plan one photo typically writing a bit about it. Erik could make a clock the world, and make us walking around it, that would be pretty swell. This was a really difficult and tedious at times project to do but I did it, I desaturated the image at the very end with some of the backgrounds
Added the text through seperate fonts which I would use. Background removed from A LOT of images to copy the full images I touched and healed a lot of parts of the face, color replaced the hair, and clone stamped some of the black parts of Ls hair. I give this project a 4 out of 4 due to the amount of effor put into and how well I did the techniques required. I removed one of the red cars from this image.
I used the clone stamp tool and the eraser tool for tighter edges (only works for white backgrounds really) I rate myself a 3.5 as there is nothing I really cannot do with this technique but there are things that I feel I could learn how to do better. I used the wand tool and the remove background button to get this image.
There was no difficult step for me, most time consuming was the wand as it screwed up. I rate myself a 4 on this because of the simplicity and the effectiveness of the entire tutorial. I found my image online when looking for chessboards.
I used the magic wand tool, several layer tools, the paint bucket tool, and the shape maker tool. The most difficult step for me was figuring out how to erase the image without removing everything on the image. I rate myself a 3 because this was difficult and I really need more experiment in order to teach this. I used the Heal tool and the Red eye tool to fix up this image
I touched up the pimples on her chin and forehead and replaced the red eye with the natural looking eye color. The most difficult part of doing this was saving the image and finding it, nothing difficult in making it. Select and adjustment for saturation is the tool I used to create this drab photo showing the color inside of us while the rest of us is just a bland tool.
There was really no difficult step, but the one that took the most time. Was the step that involved saving the image. I think for the story I made for it, a 4, as an image, a 3, probably due to it not being very innovative or original. |
